Proxy นั้นนอกจากที่จะเป็นสิ่งที่เราสามารถใช้ในการพรางตัวได้แล้วนั้นยังสามารถเป็น firewall ให้
กับเราได้ด้วยเพราะว่าข้อมูลทั้งหมดที่ถูกส่งออกไปนั้นจะถูกส่งออกไปในนามของเครื่อง Proxy ทำให้
ผู้ที่ต้องการจะบุกรุกเข้ามานั้นหันเข้าไปโจมตีเครื่อง proxy แทนซึ่งเครื่อง proxy นั้นมักจะมีความปลอด
ภัยสูงกว่า PC ธรรมดาอยู่แล้ว(ในกรณีที่ผู้บุกรุกดูจาก IP address)
